1960 Ardisam opens for
business with the Ardis
Quick Digger Art, Dick
and Sam began their metal
fabricating shop known as
Ardisam out of a small
garage located on Main Street
in Cumberland, Wisconsin.
Their vision and ingenuity
yielded working power
equipment. The powered post
hole digger engineered back
then is just as tough, durable
and affordable today as it was
in 1960.
1966 IsoVibe shock
absorber goes on first
earth auger drill
The revolutionary IsoVibe
auger coil absorbs vibration
from rocks and tree roots
that drills commonly
encounter.
The original tried
and tested flex
coil design is still
used today on
our powered earth
drills!
1970 Ardisam
Constructs New
Headquarters
As the Earthquake brand
gained popularity, the factory
gained floorspace.
Implementing time saving
metal fabricating devices,
painting booths, testing
facilities, and shipping areas,
Earthquake became better
able to serve the growing
demand for its products.

1983 Earthquake Employs
New Heavy-Duty Transmision
Earthquake introduces a new gear drive for its
earth augers. This new gearbox reduced the
amount of maintenance compared with other
chain driven transmissions.

1987 First Earthquake Rototiller
Earthquake continued with more ground
-breaking ideas by beginning their line of
rototillers. The rear tine tiller machines included
a drag stake to ensure optimum digging levels
while easily tilling through even the toughest soil.
